Such bills are being elaborated for the second reading:
- on attestation of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel of higher qualification (Reg. No. 0901);
- on amendments to several legislative acts on the issue of intellectual property (Reg. No. 0903);
- on amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine on education re improvement of state’s policy in the educational sphere (Reg. No. 0905).
The Committee is elaborating such draft laws for consideration in the first reading:
- on amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine (re reorganization and liquidation of educational institutions of communal ownership pattern as agreed with territorial communities) (Reg. No. 3410).
- on amendments to the Law “On out-of-school education” re guaranteeing constitutional right to the citizens of Ukraine for free out-of-school education (Reg. No. 2066а);
- on education of people with disabilities (special education) (Reg. No. 2885);
- on supplementing articles 18 and 30 of the Law “On higher education” (re assistance in employment of students (listeners), cadets, externs, assistants-trainees, interns, resident physicians, degree-seeking students, postgraduates and doctoral candidates) (Reg. No. 2598).
- on amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine (re rights of religious organizations to establish educational institutions) (Reg. No. 2051).
The Committee plans to hold parliamentary hearings entitled “Education, healthcare and social insurance of children with autism spectrum disorders: problems and ways of their settlement” (on April 2, 2014) and “On legislative support of development of scientific and technical sphere.”
In the course of control over implementation of laws, resolutions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and the Committee’s own decisions, the Committee plans to consider such issues:
- on implementation of the Law “On priority courses of development of science and technology” and a respective decision of the Committee of April 10, 2012, as well as on implementation of the Law “On priority courses of innovation activity of Ukraine”;
- on information of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the status of implementing Recommendations of the parliamentary hearings entitled “Education in rural area: recessionary tendencies and ways of overcoming them” (Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine № 4949-VI of 07.06.2012).
It is planned to hold two field meetings of the Committee, particularly:
- on February 12, 2014 a field meeting on the premises of Kyiv Interregional higher vocational school of communication;
- in April, 2014 a field meeting in Kherson Oblast.
